Bentley Owners Club Day - 04/08/07

Another one-off race for Mike and some of the team at Silverstone.

Various cars all entered into the handicap all-comers race, even a Dutch Challenge Car was there!

Mike managed to qualify 7th overall, but due to the race being a handicap, he would start from close to the back of the grid and some 20 seconds after the first car had left!!
Jim in the Allard also qualified quite close to Mike and was in the same situation for the start of the race.
Sadly the RS500 blew up during qualifying due to a faulty water pump we believe.

Race on! Eventually we saw Mike and Jim pass the start finish line some 20 seconds after the first car left the grid. Every lap both Mike and Jim were overtaking several cars per lap.
During the race they must have overtaken some 20 cars or maybe more , Mike crossed the line in 3rd place overall and Jim a good 6th place. One more lap and Mike could have had the number one spot!
